Anointed one, sent from the Father to rescue us in our need, may we be so overcome with joy and gratitude at your promise of salvation that it overflows from us in praise and thanksgiving, through you who comes in the name of the Lord, the Father, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen. ‘The next day the great crowd that had come to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord– the King of Israel!”‘ – John 12:12-13 Where is your heart these days? Do you see the salvation of Jesus? Or are you perhaps weighed down by other things or having trouble seeing how Jesus is present and active? If you sense his coming or present rescue, why not take a moment to thank him and express your happiness and gratitude? If you cannot see, what do you need from him to enliven your eyes and heart? Ask him for those things.
