A Lenten Collect to Ask

Humble Father, who stoops to hear the prayers of your children, keep us from missing what you offer and failing to connect with you for lack of asking. Stir in our hearts the faith and courage to ask to be with you, that we would be met by your presence and love, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen. ‘Now among those who went up to worship at the festival were some Greeks. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”‘ – John 12:20-21 What if you asked to see God now? Or to know his presence?
