A Collect to Understand the Word God Speaks

God of wisdom, who knows all things in creation, for you planted its foundations, grant that we should understand well the word that you speak to us, that we would bear fruit of your kingdom – love, joy, peace – and so fill the world with your goodness, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit in perpetual light, now and forever.
