Almighty God, who bears all power over creation, yet wields it in love, keep us from vengeance and desire to strike at our enemies, that love might be our compass, and our hearts would hope for reconciliation and redemption of even those who hate us, through Jesus, our brother, who endured shame for the sake of his enemies and now lives in joy with the Father and Holy Spirit forever.
