A Collect for Protection to Live as Jesus Lived

Heavenly Father, protector of those in need, shield us from those that would destroy, malign, and deceive us, that while we are here in the world, we might yet live as your beloved Son lived and walked, contrary to the world’s ways and loving all those whom you have created, through Jesus Christ your Son, our Lord. Amen. ‘I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.’ – John 17:14-15
