A Collect for Comfort

God of comfort, who speaks soothing words to those in trouble, give us your comforting presence in our time of need, not that we would escape from trials and difficulty, but that we would experience you with us, present and caring as we walk with you through our struggles, through Jesus Christ, who walked with you and the Holy Spirit and has sat down at your right hand in glory.
