Lord Jesus, who follows always the will of the Father, show us where our hearts are set on self-centered and worldly things, that we might be content to lay aside such things and desire most of all that which is of you and your heavenly kingdom, through you who is alive and reigns in glory with the Father and Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen. ‘He said all this quite openly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But turning and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you are setting your mind not on divine things but on human things.”‘ – Mark 8:32-33
