Gentle Father, who longs to care for your children, forgive us when we refuse your love, and cause us to see when we spurn you, that we would recognize our foolishness and set aside our pride and shame to receive the good that you offer to us, through Christ our Lord, who live and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit in perfect unity forever and ever.
