Lord Jesus, who goes before us as our leader in righteousness, strengthen our hearts to fight against the wrongs and injustices of this fallen world, that in your power and guidance, we would not be idle or neglectful, but join with your work of redeeming the world you love and preparing the way of the Lord, through you who reigns with the Father and Holy Spirit. Amen. ‘In the temple he found people selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables. Making a whip of cords, he drove all of them out of the temple, both the sheep and the cattle. He also poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. He told those who were selling the doves, “Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!”‘ – John 2:14-16 How involved are you in fighting against he injustices of the world? Are you active in standing against the sins that corrupt society? Are you seeking to help people discover God’s way of humility and compassion? Are there things that God may be calling you to join in order to set right a broken world? If you took some time to listen to the Holy Spirit’s promptings, where might he be leading you?
