A Holy Saturday Collect

O God, who is present in both good times and evil, when hope is taken away from us, help us yet cling to you, trusting that even though we must grieve and tolerate the pain and uncertainties of this life, you can redeem all things and make them new at the right time, through Christ Jesus your beloved Son, our Lord. Amen.

‘So Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth and laid it in his new tomb, which he had hewn in the rock. He then rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb and went away.’ – Matthew 27:59-60
