A Collect to Turn Away from Deeds of Darkness

Lord God of truth, whose nature is light and revelation, draw our hearts away from those works that are done in darkness and away from sight that we would have no need to hide and would desire instead to do those things that are born of your loving and good character, through Jesus Christ our example and teacher, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit forever. Amen. ‘The night is far gone, the day is near. Let us then lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.’ – Romans 13:12
