Gracious Father, who is wise beyond our understanding, let us not be surprised when we face suffering and difficulty in this life, but help us to trust that you are working even in the difficulties and that your love sustains us always, through Jesus our brother, who goes before us and intercedes before your glorious throne in the Holy Spirit.
