A Collect to See Those Challenged with Dignity

Lord Jesus, light of compassion in the world, do not let us assume that others suffering or struggles are your justice meted out, but give us compassion and love that we would see others with dignity regardless of their circumstances, through you who showed us love to the end and ascended to the Father and Holy Spirit in glory. Amen. ‘As he walked along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him.”‘ – John 9:1-3
