Patient God, who endured the scorn and ridicule of those you love, give us your calm and patience when we are attacked and vilified, and grant that our community would provide a place to work through the hurt and anger it creates, that we would return good for evil, love for hatred, and blessing for curses and thereby be ambassadors for your way of life and those who absorb destruction rather than repeat it, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who honored you and the Holy Spirit in his willingness to absorb all sin for those he loved.
