A Collect to Restore That Which was Taken or Destroyed

Almighty One, who alone holds the power of creation from nothing, restore what has been destroyed and taken from those who were assaulted, that they might rediscover a sense of safety and meaning and would turn to you in gratitude for your great goodness, through Jesus Christ our great savior, who intercedes for all of us before your throne in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen. ‘They shall build up the ancient ruins, they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.’ – Isa. 61:4
