Spirit of truth, our counselor and source of great wisdom, keep us from attending only to the pleasures of this world, that we would not miss the greater issues of the Kingdom of Heaven and so lose that which lasts not only through this life but also the life to come, through Christ our Lord, who reigns in you at the right hand of the Father in glory.
