God of wisdom, who knows the thoughts and intentions of all hearts, grant us understanding and perception to see what passes in the hearts of those around us, that we might discern their motives and needs and respond always with love and prudence, through Jesus Christ our savior, who reigns over all things in justice and mercy with you and the Holy Spirit above.
