A Collect to Look to Jesus to Save

Lord Jesus, who has and is and will save us, we seek throughout our lives for saviors who will rescue us from many things, and we are often led astray by empty promises. Help us to hold fast to you and to seek you first as the one who can truly save us, that we would not fall into the traps of those who deceive for their own gain, through you who alone has power and authority. Amen. ‘Then Jesus began to say to them, “Beware that no one leads you astray. Many will come in my name and say, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray.”‘ – Mark 13:5-6
