Lord Jesus, who sees all things and knows our hearts better than we do, give us the courage to admit our failings, our need, and our sin that such things would be available to you to be transformed, and we might discover new sight and new life in you, through you who wields all power with the Father and Holy Spirit from heaven. Amen. ‘Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind.” Some of the Pharisees near him heard this and said to him, “Surely we are not blind, are we?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would not have sin. But now that you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”‘ – John 9:39-41 Are there things I am loathe to admit? What might I feel is too shameful or problematic to own up to?
