King of heaven, who rules over all creation in love, let us not be surprised that not all those who claim your name are truly citizens of your kingdom, but help us to trust in your patience and your power to sustain us while we wait for the fulfillment of your work, through Jesus our brother, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
