A Collect to Be One People (All Saint’s Day)

O Lord God, who created heaven and earth and will create them anew, gather us together as one people under your reign as you have promised, that our suffering and mourning will be no more, and your presence with us would be our comfort and joy forever as we live together in your eternal kingdom as saints, those made holy by your love, through Jesus Christ, the firstborn of the sanctified, who is one with you and the Holy Spirit. Amen. ‘And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.”‘ – Rev. 21:3-4
