Blessed Jesus, who was pierced for our transgressions, let us not be distraught or surprised when we are persecuted for doing good, but strengthen our commitment to your ways of love and justice and humility, trusting in you to sustain us always, through you who lives in perfect joy with the Father and Holy Spirit in glory.
