A Collect to be Awed by the Divinity of Jesus

Lord Jesus, who bears the nature of God even as you bear our frail, human nature, show us your glory, that we might be awed by your divinity and holiness and in that awe, desire ever more to bind ourselves to you, trusting in your power and goodness, through you who now reigns forever and ever at the right hand of the Father in the Holy Spirit. Amen. ‘Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart, by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no one on earth could bleach them.’ – Mark 9:2-3
