Lord God, shield of the weak and advocate for the needy, save us from trouble and destruction. Turn your face towards us and have mercy that we might receive your salvation and rejoice again in you, through Jesus Christ our brother, who shared in our suffering and now intercedes for us in the Holy Spirit.
