A Collect for Rescue from an Evil Age

Almighty God, who sees the struggles of your people, we wait for you to do great things for us in these difficult times, that we might be rescued from the evils of this age and of those who wield power to the harm of many, through Jesus Christ our Savior, who suffered at the hands of cruel men and was taken up into your arms in the Holy Spirit.
