A Collect for Receiving God’s Will

Lord God of all creation, whose wisdom exceeds that of all oracles and libraries, make us willing to see where we are putting our plans and desires above yours, and give us the humility to set our wisdom aside and receive words from you, who knows the end from the beginning, through Jesus Christ your Son, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit in glory. Amen. ‘ And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This must never happen to you.” But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan!
