Lord God of all, our sun and shield, protect us from trouble and suffering when we must endure trials, that we will not be overwhelmed or consumed by what we must face, but pass through, trusting in your goodness and the promise of seeing your face, through Christ our brother, who endured the cross and sat down at your right hand in the Holy Spirit.
