A Collect for Fear and Anxiety

Gentle Shepherd, our great protector and guide, calm our fears and reassure us in our anxiety, that we would trust in you, resting in your goodness and awaiting your coming with a calm hope, through you who raises the dead and sustains all creation through the power of the Father and Holy Spirit. Amen.

‘While he was still speaking, some people came from the leader’s house to say, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher any further?” But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the leader of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”‘ – Mark 5:35-36
