Spirit of the living God, who dwells within our deepest hearts, let not persecution or trouble dissuade us from following in your ways, but help us be faithful to love you and one another and even those who trouble us as you have loved us, through Jesus our example, who died that we might live and now reigns with you and the Father in perfect joy forever and ever. Amen.
‘And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy inspired from the Holy Spirit.’ – 1 Thes. 1:6
