A Collect for Devotion to Christ as Lord

Holy Spirit of God, who dwells in us to bring about a new and righteous life, our lips speak that which is birthed in our hearts. Stir in us a love for Jesus Christ that pours out of our hearts in devotion to him and causes us to proclaim him our lord, through him who descended to us in compassion and was raised to life in the Father with you. Amen. ‘Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says “Let Jesus be cursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except by the Holy Spirit.’ – 1 Cor 12:3
