Lord Jesus, who walked the path before us, grant us desire and stamina to continue working out our salvation, that we might be worthy of the call that the Father has issued to us all and receive the reward of heaven and life eternal with you, who lives and reigns in glory with the Father and Holy Spirit now and forever. Amen.
‘…but I press on to lay hold of that for which Christ has laid hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have laid hold of it, but one thing I have laid hold of: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal, toward the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.’ – Phil. 3:12-14
