A Collect for Conviction of Sin

Holy Spirit, breath of God, convict us of our sin and failure to live as you desire, that our hearts might be changed and we would turn from the ways of the world and walk according to your will in righteousness and love, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Father live in glory, now and forever. Amen. ‘Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.’ – John 16:7-8
