Incarnate Savior, who came to us in the weakness and vulnerability of a child, there was no room for you in the world when you came, and still we make little space for you. Let not the things of this world – wealth, power, esteem, busyness, and promises of security in these things of earth – keep us from making space for you, that in some, small place you might be welcomed, and we might learn from you how to be like our God, through you who lives with the Father and Holy Spirit in love forever. Amen. ‘And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.’ – Luke 2:7
