Lord Jesus Christ, who went into the wilderness to face temptation, we thank you for your solidarity with us, for experiencing testing and temptation as we do. Strengthen us as we struggle to resist, and be gentle when we fail, that your mercy might strengthen us anew, through you who loved us to the end and now intercedes for us before the throne of heaven day and night. Amen.
