Lord Jesus, who goes before us and with us, may we accept suffering when it is appropriate as you did, knowing that it purifies and refines our souls and makes perfect the salvation that you wrought for us, through you who was raised to new life and now abides in perfect joy with the Father and Holy Spirit forever. Amen.
‘It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many children to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.’ – Heb. 2:10
