O Lord, you who determine the paths of stars and planets, help us to accept from you both good and ill, trusting in your plan and your goodness, that we might receive from you what we need at the right time even as we ask for mercy and grace from your hand, through Christ our savior, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit in perpetual light.
