A Collect to See the Father in Jesus

Gracious Father, whose love endures from generation to generation, open our eyes that we would see your character and love in the life and works of your beloved Son, Jesus, that would we know you as wise, gentle, loving, longing, generous, and all that which Jesus showed us and would trust in you as he trusts in you, through our Lord Jesus, with whom you and the Holy Spirit are one in glory forever. Amen. ‘Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves.’ – John 14:10-11
