A Collect for Honesty with God

Loving Father, from whom nothing is hidden, do not let our anxious hearts keep us from being honest with you, knowing that you see into our hearts and desire that we bring even the uncertainties and fears to you, trusting in your love, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who showed us the path of love and sat down at your right hand with the Holy Spirit. Amen. ‘”Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of human origin?” And they argued with one another, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But if we say, ‘Of human origin,’ we are afraid of the crowd; for all regard John as a prophet.” So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.”‘ – Matthew 21:25-27
