Wise God, who knows what we need, even if we believe otherwise, there are times when you are silent in the face of our need. Help us to discern how to respond in those times and to be both patient and persistent, discerning and humble, that your quietness would be the beginning of a story and not an end, through Jesus Christ, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit in ineffable light. Amen. ‘ Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came out and started shouting, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is tormented by a demon.” But he did not answer her at all.’ – Matthew 15:22-23
